With effect from July 11, Abia State Governor Alex Otti has appointed 30 individuals, including former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu, to various roles.

Kanu was named the chairman of Nigerian league champion Enyimba.

The governor announced this in a statement released by Kazie Uko, his principal press secretary.

Kanu takes over from Felix Anyansi-Agwu, who led “The People’s Elephant” for 24 years and led the team to two CAF Champions League championship medals.
