Actor, Odunlade Adekola Appointed Health Insurance Ambassador in Ogun State

Odunlade Adekola, a Nollywood actor has been appointed by Ogun State Government as its Health Insurance Ambassador.

The Commissioner for Health of the state, Dr Tomi Coker, made this known at the health insurance scheme event on Monday at Ogun State Health Insurance Agency, Abeokuta.

According to Coker, the decision was birthed after the launching of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund and Health Insurance for the informal sector on 6 February, 2022.

According to Coker, “The health insurance scheme has multiple schemes in one basket. We have registered 50, 000 vulnerable people in the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund and the Health insurance for the informal sector running actively since its formal launch by Governor Dapo Abiodun in February.”

He further revealed that Adekola was conferred the state’s Health Insurance brand ambassador because of his fame and brilliance and that he has all it takes to engage the public in their insurance process.

In his words, “Our multi-talented brand ambassador, Odunlade Adekola, is a familiar face to many people given his brilliance and fame. I am confident that he would contribute effectively to our efforts to engage the public in our insurance process. ”
