Plateau State Governor, Mutfwang appoints ex-Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi as Special Adviser

Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State, has given his approval for the hiring of Mikel Obi, a former midfielder for Chelsea, and other officials to help him in his role as the state’s leader.

Recently appointed positions include those with the Teachers’ Service Commission, SUBEB, Abuja Liaison Director, Jos Metropolitan Development Board, Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, PLASCHEMA, Plateau Specialists’ Hospital, Plateau Mineral Development Company Ltd, Local Government Service Commission, and Plateau Agricultural Development Programme, PADP.

Alex Chup, Mrs. Victoria Jatau, and Mr. Cyril Longpuan are the TSC’s chairman, commissioners 1, and 2, respectively.Sunday Amuna, Mrs. Chundung Shom, Godwin Kasam, and Tang’an Emmanuel are the full-time members of SUBEB, and Mr. Sunday Amuna serves as its acting chairman.

According to a statement by the governor’s director of press and public affairs, Gyang Bere, the members of the Abuja liaison directorate are Danladi Mwantok, Ziphion Chrysantus, John Chun, Nanyak Kumsal, and Manji Wilson.

Arc Hart Bankat serves as the general manager of JMBD. Dr. Agabus Manasseh is the Director General of PLASCHEMA, Professor Christopher Yilgwan is the Chief Medical Director of Plateau Specialists’ Hospital, Mr. Mathew Dawap is the General Manager of Plateau Mineral Development Company Ltd., and Mrs. Helen Dabup is the Executive Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission.

Other appointments include Barr. Binchen Jangtur as the Secretary of Plateau Express Service, Samuel Gwott as General Manager, and Ishaku Jilemsam as the Programme Manager for PADP. Barr. Olivia Dazyem as the Special Adviser on Gender and Chairperson Implementation Committee of the Gender & Equal Opportunities Commission Professor Ishaya Pam, Jude Abaga (MI), and Mikel Obi are the honorary advisers for healthcare, entertainment/creativity, and sports, respectively.
